This box-type ultrasonic open channel flowmeter adopts the velocity-area method. Flow velocity is measured by the ultrasonic time-difference method with multiple pairs of transducers for layered velocity detection. Water level is measured simultaneously via three approaches: electronic water gauge, ultrasonic level meter and ultrasonic transducers. The main controller compares the three groups of level data and selects the most reliable value for flow calculation. | |
